Avoca-Go! Smoothie Recipe + Proverbs 15:17 Devotional

Hi friend and welcome back to Sunday Morning Smoothies with Sam!

In this video you will be making Forks and Grace’s Avoca-Go! Smoothie.

If you are looking for a smoothie that has lots of health benefits then you are in luck! This smoothie is packed with a lot of nutrients like Omega-3 Fatty Acids, Vitamin B12, Thiamine, Folate, Vitamin A, Zinc, Potassium, and so much more.

The recipe is below with the suggested amounts for each ingredient:

Avoca-Go! Smoothie:

  • 1 avocado
  • 2 cups kale
  • 1 english cucumber
  • 1 medium banana
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 3 tbsp flaxseeds
  • 1-2 cups milk of choice
  • Optional: protein powder

The devotional for the week is for Proverbs 15:17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is than a fattened ox and hatred with it.

This week I want you to break some food rules and reflect on what your current nutrition habits are and why. I want you to think about your current nutrition habits and answer the following questions:

  • Do you have food rules?
  • Why do you have food rules?
  • Are these food rules helpful or not helpful?
  • What are some food rules you would like to break?
  • What would breaking that food rule look like?
  • How can you shift your mindset to align your nutrition habits with God’s Words?
